Our high-end contemporary brand is seeking an Accounts Payable Coordinator to support our Finance & Operations Team.   With an ever-expanding customer base and brand visibility this is a great opportunity to join our rapidly growing company. The ideal candidate should have an obsessive eye for detail, be extremely organized, and have a strong work ethic. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Enter all bills for office & stores and prepare weekly check and wire payments to vendors
  • Maintain the accounts payable mailbox by ensuring all invoices and inquiries are handled in a timely manner
  • Work with colleagues to ensure all invoices receive proper review and approval
  • Resolve discrepancies with vendors and build a trustworthy and reliable relationships with vendors and colleagues
  • Reconcile vendor statements
  • Book all credit card transactions into accounting system
  • Petty Cash Reconciliations for corporate office & store
  • Prepare vendor’s 1099s
  • Help to implement new accounts payable processes
  • Assist with various accounting projects

Desired Skills and Experience Requirements

  • BS in Business, Accounting, or Finance
  • 2+ years of general accounting experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks & RLM a plus
  • Extremely organized and detail organized
  • Proactive self-starter
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Quick learner that strives in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience in a retail company
