Learning & Development Manager
Overview: The Learning & Development Manager will deliver training programs that support the needs of the business and team with an emphasis on driving sales, product knowledge and role development. S/He will be responsible for the delivery and evaluation of L&D programs and workshops.
Responsibilities: • Involved with training needs assessment prior to the development of learning material • Offer a consultative approach to training and coaching in order to engage in specific learning objectives tailored to individual needs • Involved in the adaption of training materials to specific markets • Involved in assessment of training and development needs within the business through: training needs assessments and senior management consultation • Plan, coordinate and facilitate training programs • Organize, assist and facilitate the delivery of product trainings that support the learning and understanding of all product ranges in retail stores • Assist in creation and planning of Campaign Training, Category Training, New Brand Launches and Seasonal Color Seminar • Participate in adaption and expansion of training and development programs based on the needs of the business or individuals • Work with Field Supervisor Team (FST) to reinforce learning programs that enhance the teams’ skills and contribution to success • Assist in production of training materials for in-house courses • Revise programs as necessary in order to adapt to changes occurring in the work environment • Coordinate on product training needs within the business through consultation with cross-functional Support Office Departments and FST • Liaise with vendors for seasonal product trainings in all markets • Ensure that product knowledge is maintained at a high standard to support brand/product training and impart knowledge to all retail levels • Have an understanding of developments in training by reading relevant journals, attend seminars and courses
Requirements and Experience: • 4+ years of related experience within beauty • Ability to travel 25% - 40% to various stores • Expert product knowledge • Strong creative thinker with a positive demeanor • Flexible, self-starter with the ability to think outside the box • Team player, self-motivated and able to work in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Proficient in MS Office
