Senior Manager or Director-level role whose key responsibility is managing all aspects of the brand's human resources and implementing people operations policies and procedures. Work with the founders and COO to develop strategic staffing plans that effectively optimize company strategy. Develop, organize, and ensure effective implementation of all employee programs including setting up a proper internship program. Engage in compensation administration and benchmarking and oversee payroll management Assess and update benefits to insure they are competitive for the current market to help recruit and retain talent. Collaborate with Directors and Managers on job descriptions and update as necessary. Talent recruitment, acquisition. Onboarding and orientation for all new employees. Provide data insights (turnover, compensation analysis, payroll percent) to guide decisions and actions for high performance and productivity. Advise all levels of management in the areas of personnel policies, compliance issues, performance management, problem resolution, discipline, and termination. Experience and in-depth knowledge of multi-state retail legal requirements and ensure policies and procedures are met in accordance with state laws. Update the brand's management on local, state, and federal labor laws and regulation changes and share potential impact on current and future business operations. Handle and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting necessary investigations. Work directly with the Co-CEOs and COO and to improve work relationships, build morale, share culture and values, and increase productivity and retention. Oversee the implementation of a Learning Management System, staff development, incentives and other training programs. Manage the FMLA and any employee leave processes.
