Director of Performance Marketing
Luxury lifestyle/fragrance brand is hiring a Sr. Manager/Director of Performance Marketing. This is a new position for the company and reports into the SVP of Ecommerce. There are no direct reports, however, this position will manage an agency and work alongside a Sr. Manager of Email Marketing. The company is PE Backed, business is excellent and ecommerce has nearly tripled since LY! Company moved onto Shopify LY. Will oversee the daily execution of marketing strategies to drive new customer acquisition and retention. The successful candidate will be continually engaged in leading the team in driving key KPIs including: customer growth and LTV, reduced CPO and maximum ROAS. Working with both agency and internal partners, s/he will be responsible for the day-to-day performance of digital marketing channels, including Natural Search, Paid Search, Email, Affiliate, Display, Retargeting. This individual will use data and analytics to understand the customer journey from awareness to conversion and leverage insights to unlock new growth and conversion opportunities. Responsibilities Grow Digital Acquisition & Revenue: Holds direct responsibility for driving traffic, conversion and ROI for all digital acquisition channels, including paid search, natural search/SEO, affiliate, remarketing, display, email and some social media. This role owns new Customer Acquisition, acquisition forecasting and all campaign performance reporting. Maximize Optimization: Continuously seeks optimization and growth through performance analysis, A/B and multivariate testing, customer segmentation, creative partnership, landing page optimization and more. Experience in planning, launching, and optimizing paid acquisition campaigns end-to-end – from campaign strategy to spend to user funnels to landing pages is critically important. Manage Agency Performance: Supervises any potential external agencies for key channels including paid search, natural search/SEO, affiliates, remarketing, social media, and display; review agency reports and run internal reports to monitor performance and seek improvement opportunities. Develop Acquisition Campaigns & Partnerships: Works in partnership with brand marketing, social media and e-commerce teams, to identify and lead large-scale, multi-channel, 360 acquisition campaigns. Communicate on Performance trends and results: Informs senior leadership on a weekly/monthly/ quarterly basis, highlighting opportunities or trends for continuous improvement Requirements: 5+ years of experience in a digital marketing and direct to consumer. Omni-channel organization experience preferred. Beauty experience preferred. Exceptional understanding of all aspects of digital marketing and analytics, especially paid search, natural search, affiliate, display, retargeting, email and social media. Strong business acumen with ability to think strategically and innovatively. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, create executive summaries, and deliver actionable business insights– demonstrated ability to apply logical thought process to problem solving and deliver recommendations. Ability to develop ROI and forecasting models. Proactive, collaborative, organized, curious, problem solver. Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables. Resourceful and proactive with a high level of accommodation and flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment of constant change; able to perform well under pressure and deadlines. Organization and confidence to work independently but also a strong team player.
