Director of Brand Relations and Merchandising

Responsibilities: - Managing the Brand/Vendor relationships along with the SVP of Business Development & Merchandising - Analyzing the current assortment based upon sell-through and productivity/profitability (margin) and ensure proper and consistent inventory levels - Review data/analytics to determine brand placement on the website and other marketing collateral - Create presentations with data for brand partners on a monthly/quarterly basis and present to those brands - Partner with SVP, Assistant Manager, Operations and Marketing to launch, promote and edit brands - Develop Assistant Manager to be a strong partner, manager and overall asset for the division - Digital skills to make sure the website is up to industry standards with brand assets and content - Assist in the negotiation of brand terms/bulk, securing new brands/products Qualifications: - Creative problem solver, ability to pivot and put out fires quickly while partnering with other departments and senior management - Highly organized and proactive, able to create systems and processes to make things run smoothly and efficiently - Strong analytical skills, generate the necessary reports and assess and report progress in meeting department objectives - Proficient with digital, powerpoint/keynote, excel, google docs and relational databases/software (ei: ERP) - Exceptional communication and public speaking skills for brand presentations - Competent collaborator and skilled cross-functional communicator What You’ll Need to Have:: - BS/BA in Business, Merchandising or Marketing preferred - Minimum of 5 years of experience in buying/merchandising, in the Cosmetics industry (preferably with fragrance) - High level understanding of digital marketing a plus
