Account Executive, Accessories
Account Executive to support the Accessories division (handbags and footwear). Reporting to the Director of Sales, this person will act as a division leader, managing the entire account matrix (global majors and specialty), and will use their pre-existing knowledge of the accessories market to support the launch and subsequent growth of these emerging categories, solidifying as a premier lifestyle brand.
Duties and responsibilities:With the support of the Director of Sales, this person will lead all market appointments, including but not limited to the product and business conversations within them Manage all day-to-day communication with accounts, including but not limited to: weekly selling recaps, reorder discussion, by-door strategy, order and EDI maintenance, marketing opportunities, drop-ship maintenance Financial analysis including but not limited to: weekly selling (style and topline), seasonal hind-sighting by classification and account, by-account profitability analysis Formulate and execute by-account strategies to maximize sales and profitability, supporting the overall growth of the Accessories division Compiles market analysis and account feedback monthly to share with merchandising counterparts so that wholesale needs are communicated proactively and considered within the development process Act as a partner to our DTC counterparts by sharing market findings and meeting about them regularly to support a holistic approach to accessories Create pre- and post-market selling tools and training materials (JOOR line sheets, product knowledge materials, contest fliers, etc.) When necessary, this person will make key market visits to train associates, maintain brand awareness and gather competitive intelligence
Professional skills, experience, and attributes:Must have 3-4 years of prior experience selling accessories Proficiency in Microsoft Office – Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Exceptional written and oral communication skills Exceptional time management skills Ability to set a priority list and deliver against simultaneous deadlines A self-starter who is eager to grow emerging categories within an already established brand Systems oriented – experience with Full Circle is not required but is a plus
