Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Execute strategies designed to increase employee retention and engagement
• Ensure proper onboarding for all new hires and continue to upgrade process with an eye on Employer Branding including setting up payroll, health insurance, employment forms, equipment and software needs, and general IT training
• Organize training opportunities including Bias training, creating an inclusive work environment and how to hire for your brand’s tenets
• Partner closely with the Finance team to manage budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans for HR systems, benefits, and employee compensation
• Stay up to date on all Human Resources principles, practices, techniques, and federal, state, and location legal requirements and regulations
• Implement and update employees’ handbooks and forms
• Organize and maintain employee files in compliance with applicable legal requirements
• Partner with Finance regarding payroll, benefits, and both corporate and health insurance
• Manage Workers Compensation, Disability, and FMLA issues, and respond to unemployment claims
• Manage annual Performance Review process
• Coordinates and conducts terminations, exit interviews, and administration
• Ensure employee compensation is in line with budget and external benchmarks; perform market research as needed
• Track employee PTO
• Main point of contact for all employee issues and inquiries and help to manage claims if applicable
• Manage Corporate and Retail recruitment needs and help to develop job descriptions for hiring managers including partnering and negotiating with outside recruiters, and overseeing any digital recruitment accounts
• Support managers at corporate and store level how to effectively interview and assess talent
• Support Owner and CEO on org chart development and new roles
• Point person for external IT company
• Location management beyond Studio Manager

Desired Skills and Experience Requirements
• BS in Business, Human Resources, or other related field
• 5+ years Human Resources Experience, preferably in wholesale or retail
• Working knowledge and legislation and regulations relating to HR issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
• Extremely detail organized
• Proactive self-starter
• Ability to handle multiple tasks
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Quick learner that strives in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work with all levels of employees
