Planner/Allocator

Description: 

Planner/Allocator is responsible for the strategy creation & execution for one of the brands. This individual will see product strategy through from budget creation through inventory allocation & management. The role requires a born leader, self starter & problem solver with strong financial acumen and expert understanding of tools. This individual should be an expert in excel.

Allocation Responsibilities: 

Day to day responsibilities will be ground in allocation. Including: Rollout and trouble shoot new allocation software. Achieve sales plans through strong allocation and replenishment strategies. Be dynamic and reactionary. Make changes to automatic replenishment as needed based on current trends and past performance to optimize inventory. Suggest and execute transfers and consolidations. Work closely with Paris counterparts on merchandise distribution, delivery updates & setting optimal stocks Partner with buying team to create store assortments and reservations for new store openings. Work cross-functionally with visual, marketing, IT, logistics and retail teams to ensure big picture strategies are being supported.

Planning Responsibilities:

Pre & Post season responsibilities will be focused on planning: Partner with buying team to create in depth hindsight. Use hindsight to create product, assortment & allocation strategies for the future seasons.  Assist in pre-season buys preparations for your specific brand: Establish ideal buy size & SKU capacity by door group Make adjustments to door groups based on current performance Make recommendations on SKU counts by category Make recommendations on ideal AIR by category Perform sizing analysis based on current business trends Identify optimal stock levels Report actual sales results and inventory levels on a weekly / monthly / quarterly basis for retail.

Qualifications:

3-5 years allocation/planning experience Advanced Computer skills – Excel, Experience with allocation & reporting tools (Storeland, Qlikview) Ability to handle multiple tasks in an organized manner, prioritize and meet tight deadlines concurrently Ability to read, understand, and interpret various Financial and Retail Performance Reports Ability to work independently and be flexible. Detail oriented Able to investigate and solve discrepancies. Ability to travel internationally on occasion French speaking is a plus.
