Operations & Logistics Assistant

 

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about eCommerce and Wholesale Inbound/Outbound Operations. This role will be responsible for order processing, assisting the customer service team, and helping to plan and schedule all Inbound shipments from our manufacturers. He/She will work closely with multiple cross-functional teams and platforms to provide the best customer experience possible.

 

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the eCommerce and Wholesale Operations & Logistics department on all inbound/outbound operations

• Partner with our 3PL warehouse team to ensure all orders and returns are processed according to SLA’s

• Supervise key logistics partners: 3PL in the US, global and local freight forwarders, customs brokers, any other relevant partners

• Inventory management

• Review all manufacturer inbound shipping documents prior to approving any shipment release via our freight forwarder or small parcel courier

• Triage processing issues and look for long term process/technology solutions. This includes processing delays, no stock orders, damages, and incorrect tagging.

• Assist our 3rd party Customer Service team on inquiries and handle escalations

• Track orders, preorders, returns, damages, and claims

• Manage overall SLA’s for Web and Wholesale operations

• Update internal procedures and online terms as needed

• Review return reasons and customer service feedback; communicate any product issues to merch/buying teams

• Partner with the technology teams (internal, external) to improve operating platforms

• Escalate customer service or processing issues to leadership where appropriate

 

SKILLS

• 2-3 years of Logistics/Operations experience

• Detail oriented with substantial multi-tasking ability

• Solid operational, process, and technical understanding

• Experience managing 3rd party service providers for warehousing and logistics service

• Demonstrated experience in improving distribution processes and providing detailed reporting to senior management

• A clear understanding of all customs regulations and requirements (commercial invoice data, packing lists, HTS Codes, commodity descriptions)

• Basic knowledge of OCEAN shipping deadlines/timelines

• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written

• Ability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment

• Knowledge of Shopify, WMS, ApparelMagic, Loop, and Excel

• Has a flexible personality that will approach new projects as an opportunity to learn or help the department
