Marketing Director

TITLE Marketing Director REPORTS TO COO SUMMARY The company is hiring a full-time Marketing Director. This is a great opportunity for a highly experienced individual to work closely with the founding team as the company embarks on the next stage of growth. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about building brands, is an experienced brand strategist, enjoys building and leading teams, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment. As Marketing Director, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and executing strategic marketing plans in order to grow brand awareness and drive customer acquisition and retention. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. BRAND MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS ? Leverage insights and analytics to develop deep understanding of the the brand's customer ? Work with leadership to define brand pillars and connect to brand mission and values ? Lead strategic development of brand marketing and communications strategy, and the brand's voice, to increase brand awareness, and drive traffic, sales and energy for the brand ? Craft strategic plans, create stories and reach stakeholders through traditional media, social media, influencer groups, and other creative networks ? Build and maintain marketing campaign calendar ? Coordinate PR efforts for the brand ? Develop and oversee all brand partnerships and collaborations ? Ensure all customer touch points (e.g., digital, store look/feel, collateral, uniforms, etc.) are synchronized and align with the brand's and brand promise 2. COMMUNITY MARKETING ? Build sustainable communities at the regional level to growth brand awareness in our existing and future store locations ? Define store specific community marketing plans to drive new customer awareness and acquisition ? Create customer engagement touchpoints to build evangelism and referral through engagement strategies ? Identify and execute strategic and impactful initiatives related to partnerships, experiences and events that are catered to the market and neighborhood ? Lead new store opening local marketing efforts ? Build relationships with the community and neighboring businesses JOB REQUIREMENTS 1. 8+ years professional experience in communications or public relations roles (preferably in the food/retail space) 2. Deeply knowledgeable of the evolving consumer communications and brand environment 3. Seasoned manager with experience building and implementing strategic plans, and building and leading teams 4. A pro at networking, pitching and influencing across media and brand partners (with the track record to prove it!), armed with strong existing relationships across food and retail outlets 5. Proficiency in MS Office and Google-suite tools 6. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills 7. Ability to produce and present clear status reports in a convincing and clear manner 8. Ability to multitask
