Large public Accessory company looking for Designer for the Hat Division. Will collaborate with the Director of Design, on the process from concept to completion with a focus on style and creativity. Great benefits and manager. .
RESPONSIBILITIES :Create and execute design concepts that coincide with market trends and support the vision of the customer. Develop comprehensive knowledge of the customer and competition through market data and research. Assist in product development at all stages to include; sketching, detail sketches, tech-packing (pro-proto stage), trend presentation brochures and presentation boards. Coordinate Prototype, Sample, Pre-Production and Top sample procedures. Effectively communicate concepts to production factory to ensure products meet all defined requirements. Participate in group brainstorming, trend shopping and concept research. Generate and maintain linesheets and color cards.
QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s Degree required. 3 - 5 years related experience preferred, preferably in retail, apparel, and/or accessories industry. Experience with Men’s and Juniors design a plus. Fluent English (both spoken and written), other language is a plus Strong business partnering skills Autonomous, with strong ability to work effectively in multi-cultural, geographically dispersed, virtual teams. Influencing skills and project management experience in a matrix and complex organization, covering multi-region scope Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
